The Harrisburg Tool Library carries hand tools and power tools for just about any household project: garden gear like rakes, shovels, and trimmers; home maintenance staples like hammers, drills, wrenches, and levels; carpentry tools like saws, sanders, and clamps; plumbing and masonry basics; safety gear; and curated project kits that bundle everything you need for one job. Electric and battery-powered only, no gas.

Have a tool to donate?
Donations are a big part of how this collection grows, and we are grateful you thought of us. Because our space is small and our shelves fill up fast, we ask that donations match what we are actively looking for.
Check the current wishlist before you bring anything in. If you have something on the list, or you want to fund one of those items, reach out and we will sort out drop-off. Tools should be in working condition and safe to lend. No gas-powered equipment, including mowers. Electric and battery only.
Anything off the list, even in good shape, is something we may have to turn down for now. That is purely about space, not about the tool.
Need a tool you don't see? Email us and we will add it to the wishlist.
